Okay... It's like ninety-five degrees outside, and in the office, I swear it's only about sixty-five or something.  And the air is blowing right on me... Whatever.

Taking my lunch break late because I was with clients until 12:30... Oh, well, at least that means I didn't get caught in the rain when I went to grab some food.

Anyway, sorry I didn't get anything written yesterday - I got caught up watching Dead Like Me since they're now airing that show on Sci-Fi.  Wasn't feeling that inspired to write, either.

Yesterday was kind of a mess at work - we've had a couple of days without a doctor this week, and things have just been weird.  Yesterday took the cake, though - two cars got broken into in the part of the parking lot the employees use.  And given what they took, the timing to avoid getting caught, etc., it seems more than just a random thing.  There are four offices that have windows to that parking lot - none of them saw or heard anything, and these are people that look out the window to check on people's comings and goings a lot just to make sure only those who should be getting into the building are.  (The employee doors remain locked all day and we even have doors that you have to have a code to get through inside the building - we have medical records, so there are certain safety measures we have to follow to ensure confidentiality.)  Anyway... No one was on that side of the building when it happened, or else it would have been heard, so... It just really strikes us as someone that planned it out and knew what they were after... It's just weird.  The police said they'd drive by this area more now, and hopefully they will...

Had my weekly wrestling conversation with Dempsey yesterday... He's one of the field workers and since he's got the whole wife/kids/family thing and also works the afterhours response sometimes, he doesn't always get a chance to watch the shows, so we talk about it a lot. He knows I don't miss them... He's actually a Lita fan, and not in a pervy way - he thinks she should be the women's champion. Though he knows nothing of my fanfiction-y ways, he actually said yesterday that Lita and Cena have good chemistry together and it would be fun to see them work together... As heels or faces... He'd kind of like to see John be a heel for awhile. I told him I don't care, I just think John and Lita should be together!

Anyway... It seems like WWE is still using the RAW superstars to promote ECW... I guess Edge and Lita will be on ECW tonight, and it wouldn't surprise me to see Cena there as well after what happened last night... I'm kind of looking forward to seeing ECW stand as it's own product, but that may take a little while.

I'm hoping to get more fic written during the week than usual because, as it stands right now, I won't be in town this weekend. I should be leaving Friday for my sister's house and coming back on Sunday. I haven't seen my sister's family since Christmas, which is a very long time... Especially since Kim and Jeff have a two and a half year old - she'd just turned two last time I saw them. Plus, my sister's six months pregnant with baby number two - I'd like to see them again before my nephew arrives. Anyway, gone the 30th through July 2nd. I'll be working the 3rd, but the 4th is a holiday, and I'm not exactly a fireworks and barbeques kind of girl, so expect some fic then... And I'll try to get as much fic as possible written between now and the 30th...

Of course, Friday's are always a little wild... Wilder when there's 29 people scheduled on the med check list for the doctor I work with on Friday. (22 is considered fully booked.) So, yeah, another overbooked day... The nurse and I were trying to strategize the best way to keep things running smoothly...

Pretty scary news today - one of my coworkers came in today and said her dad has appendicitis and was going to have to have it removed. Turns out that his appendix had actually ruptured, and he had to have immediate surgery. Obviously, she left as soon as she found out, and Kim and I made sure she knew she didn't need to be worrying about anything work-related because we'd take care of it... I know she'd do the same for us. Anyway, lots of thoughts and prayers to Jenny, her dad, and the rest of her family... It sounds like the surgery went okay, so I'm just going to keep thinking happy thoughts.

As for this weekend... Updates are a definite. I'll probably be starting the new fic that I got the idea for last night - Thanks to Jesse as per usual, since he always let's be bounce ideas off of him and has yet to ask 'and just what have *you* been smoking?' Still got to title that one, but I should get it started, and I'll probably update Gonna Make You Fall, Forever in My Shame, and a whole slew of others. Having a ton of fun with What You Only See (poor John's getting so abused in that one), and I may go for some more of Not Asking For Much, as well as several others.
